Roger
Davis
July 4, 1945 – April 20, 2026
Roger Donald Davis, age 80, of Port Orange, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on April 20, 2026.
Roger was born on the Fourth of July in 1945 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, to Bruce and Shirley Davis. When he was ten years old, his family moved to Florida. He attended the University of Florida and remained a devoted fan of the Florida Gators throughout his life.
Affectionately referring to himself as “Firecracker,” Roger loved celebrating his birthday with watching fireworks each year. He found great joy in spending time with his family, especially through vacations, boat rides, and trips to the zoo. He also enjoyed watching sports and cheering on his favorite teams.
Roger’s greatest passion was studying Torah, and learning about and following his Creator’s instructions, and sharing the truth he found with others. This guided his life and left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Joyce; his daughters, Amanda and Marie (T.J.); his two sons; his brother Bruce (also named Joyce) of Crossville, TN; multiple grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister Bonnie. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Roger is being cremated through Lohman’s Funeral Home in Port Orange, Florida.
