Memorial services for Roger Charles Bulkley 81 of Ormond Beach will be held Saturday today at 3:00pm in the chapel of Baggett & Summers funeral home with Fr. Richard Grasso officiating.

Mr. Bulkley was born in New York City on March 8 1924 and spent his youth in the eastern United States attending The Peddie School Heightstown NJ and Lafayette College in PA. He was a WWII Veteran serving his country with distinction as a B-29 transition pilot in the Army Air Force. He served in Guam the Tinian Islands the South Pacific and participated in the Manhattan Project.

Mr. Bulkley was responsible for Pepsico?s involvement with Big Bill France in creating the Daytona International Speedway. His passion for golf he shared with his many friends throughout his whole life. He was a nationally known amateur golfer participating in playing as well as obtaining corporate sponsorships for many fundraising charities for children.

Mr. Bulkley is survived by his wife of 30 years Jeanmarie Fagan Bulkley his sons: Gary Bulkley Willa and Peter BulkleyAlex his step-sons Matthew Stuart Fagan and Christopher Fagan. He is survived by daughter Kerry Key Simon and step-daughters Marybeth King Brad and Colleen EmoryBrooks Dr. as well as grandchildren Kayla Craig Jr. Beverly Madelaine Adam Blake Jennifer Meredith Preston Cameron Christopher Kimberly Kyle Colin and Gavin. Further survivors include his niece Elizabeth Ball and nephews Scott and Michael Zenke and Bob Quinn.
Mr. Bulkley was preceded in death by his son Craig and his sister Nancy Zenke.
