Rodney Walter Cable, 86, of Deltona, Florida passed away on January 24, 2025. He was born on November 11, 1938 in Torrington, Connecticut to Walter and Luella (Johnson) Cable.

Rodney will be remembered for a host of hobbies and interests. For many years, he painted and hung wallpaper in homes and businesses, but he made an honest living as an insurance agent. He loved to travel, always taking the backroads for the adventure and never missed an opportunity to go home for his school reunions; he loved golfing; and he loved fresh water fishing from his own backyard. He was an accomplished banjo player, and member of the Lutheran Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Luella (Johnson) Cable; and his sister, Catherine Cable.

Rodney is survived by his wife, Joyce (Regis) Cable; his three sons, Cary Cable, Craig Cable, and Chris (Michelle) Cable; his seven grandchildren, Matthew, Vanessa, Caitlyn, Jay, Amanda, Christopher, and Colton; his six great-grandchildren, Jackson, Kayden, Hazel, Ethan, Clayton, and Nevaeh; his brother, Robert Cable; and his sister, Patricia Thompson.

A memorial service for Rodney will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 11:00 am at Emmaus Lutheran Church.
