Roberta Pysz 58 of Ormond Beach FL passed away Saturday January 12 2013. A Memorial Service in Roberta's honor will be held Friday January 18 2013 at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond. Family will welcome friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with the Service beginning at 6:00pm.
Roberta was born and raised in Rhode Island. There she met and married the love of her life Andrew. Roberta was an Equal Employment Opportunity Officer for the State of Rhode Island from 1978-1987. She also worked for their Department of Transportation. Roberta and Andy moved to Ormond in 1988. Roberta was an associate for Lowe's Home Improvement on Granada for over 10 years; starting with them when the store originally opened. She coordinated contractors for installations.
For fun Roberta loved the beach and was a sun worshipper. She and Andy always had season passes to Disney World. Roberta's favorite attraction was The Tower of Terror. Roberta enjoyed riding and participating in Biker activities with Andy. Roberta was a Corvette girl but loved her sporty Cadillac XLR. She traveled all up the East Coast especially Maine and Nova Scotia. She looked forward to joining family at their Camp in Temple Maine. Roberta also traveled to Spain Portugal and Ireland. Roberta was very sociable and enjoyed shopping with her girlfriends. She was a photo bug; a hobby she shared with her family.
Roberta will be sadly missed by her husband of 29 years Andy Pysz; by her brother Stanley Szelag Jr. of CT by her sister Cheryl Szelag-Alderese of MD and by her brother Richard Szelag of Melbourne FL . Roberta will also be missed by her dear kitties Earl Grey and Jet Black. She was predeceased by her parents Stanley Szelag and Therese Pacheco Szelag.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Roberta's name to the Halifax Humane Society 2364 LPGA Blvd Daytona Beach FL 32124.
