Robert Alvin Wetzel, 84, of Palm Coast, Florida passed away Friday, February 27, 2026. He was born on April 13, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan. Bob had a life-long passion for history and was an antique collector of military memorabilia. He worked for and retired from the Ford Motor Company where he led the innovation, with computer aided design. Bob retired to Florida for warmer weather. He enjoyed the Florida outdoors with beach days and fishing excursions.

Robert is survived by his partner, Kay Kincer; son, Scott Wetzel (wife, Cynthia Boyes Wetzel); daughter, Jodi Wetzel (partner, Abel Rodriguez); grandson, Teagan Wetzel; granddaughter, Lola Wetzel; grandson, Gavin Rodriguez; grandson, Gage Rodriguez; and other extended family and friends.

Services will be held at a later date in Michigan. Updates for the Michigan Service will be listed online. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Alzheimer's Foundation or a charity of your choice.
