Robert L. Walser, 76, of Daytona Beach, Fl,went to join family and friends on Saturday May 11, 2019. He was born on December 4, 1942 in Anderson, Indiana, the son of the late Woodrow Wilson Walser and Della Cornelia (Peek) Walser.

Bobby moved to Daytona Beach when he was two years old. He attended Seabreeze High School and graduated in 1961. He was a gifted athlete who was a member of the Florida State High School Championship Football Team in 1960-61; he was also a member of the Florida State High School Championship Basketball Team in 1960-61. Bobby was selected for the National High School All American Football Team in 1960; he was selected the Most Outstanding Player by the Daytona Beach Quarterback Club in 1961. He attended the University of Georgia on a full football scholarship in 1961; he graduated from Florida State University in 1966. Bobby had a love for the beach-he was an avid surfer, lifeguard, and sailor. He worked as a Marketing Representative for Phillips Petroleum for 18 years and was the top Salesman for the southeastern United States in 1984. After leaving Phillips, he owned a successful Florist business in Clearwater, Fl., for 15 years.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 42 years, Debra Walser; his daughter, Emily Van Horn, his nephew, William Christopher Walser, and his niece, Shannon Walser Georgantas and their families.

The family will receive friends from 4:30 PM-7:00 PM Thursday May 16, 2019 at Lohman Funeral Home, 1423 Bellevue Ave, Daytona Beach, Fl. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at the United Methodist Church Ormond Beach, 336 S. Halifax Dr. Ormond Beach, Fl.
