Obituary

Robert M. Voll, 82 a resident of Daytona Beach, passed away on Saturday, July 28 th at the Halifax Hospice Care Center in Port Orange. Robert was born in Holly Hill, Fl. on October 9, 1935 to Gustave and Elizabeth (Beisell) Voll. He proudly served his country in the U.S Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant after a 20 + year career. Following his career in the military, Bob went to work for the city of Daytona Beach and spent 23 years with them in vehicle maintenance. A Florida native, Bob enjoyed fishing and shrimping in the Halifax River, loved to play golf, and volunteered with Halifax Health Medical center, logging more than 12,000 hours of volunteer time and serving as Auxiliary President for 2 years.

Bob was predeceased by his parents, his 2 sons, David and Steven, along with his 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Those left to cherish Bob's memory include his loving wife of 60+years, Karen, his brother John, grandson Brandon and a number of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be Held for Bob on Friday, August 3 rd at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona at 12 noon. The family will receive guests beginning 1 hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Daytona Memorial Park with Military Honors. Those who wish may also share condolences online at: lohmanfuneralhomes.com.
