Robert Henry Tully of Port Orange died in this life on November 14 2010. Bob was born July 6 1943 in Cresson Pennsylvania to Russell Tully and Melba Butler. A visitation for family and friends will take place at the Chapel of Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange 1201 Dunlawton Ave on Sunday November 21 2010 from 2:00- 4:00 pm with a prayer vigil and rosary service at 3:00pm; Deacon Michael Petit will be the officiating. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday November 22 2010 at 8:30 am at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Port Orange with Father Joe Pichoch officiating. A reception will be held in the Crane Lakes banquet hall following the funeral.
Bob graduated from Altoona High School and attended both Penn State and University of Maryland. He served in the United States Marine Corps for 10 years. In 1963 Bob married Mary Elizabeth Weyant with whom he had three beautiful children and 47 years of unconditional love. He worked for Equifax/Choice Point for over 30 years before his retirement in 1998. In 1999 Bob and Mary moved to Crane Lakes Port Orange Florida where they have been enjoying life and making lots of friends. Bob enjoyed golf bowling fishing and cards with friends. Bob was an active member of the Our Lady of Hope congregation for 11 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He loved God Family and Country and served them all well. May he rest in peace.
Those left to cherish Bob's memory are his wife Mary Tully; Daughters Elizabeth Ann Tully Jay McLaughlin and their son Ryan; Amy Troup (Alan) and their children Aaron and Erica; Son Anthony John Tully (Angela Mesaric) and their children Nathan and Gabrielle; "Adopted"daughter Monica Peng and her daughter Amanda. "Adopted" son James Linderman (Debbie) and daughter Courtney. Foster Mother Dawnice Umstead sister Karen Blashusch (Michael Heverling) brothers Craig Umstead (Susan) Mark Umstead (Diane) Scott Umstead (Lila) George Umstead (Sherri) and Dale Bowser (Leigh).
Other survivors include Virginia and Jack Heisner William and Doris Weyant Gerald and Nellie Weyant Norman and Margaret Hillenburg Daniel Weyant Debbie Weyant Pete and Joanne Wisnom Jeanette Nickel Robert and Cathy Weyant and numerous wonderful nieces and nephews. Memorial donations may be made in Bob's name to the American Cancer Society or to Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church "Alive in Christ" campaign.
