Robert C Tilton, 88, of Daytona Beach, FL PASSED FROM THIS WORLD TO THE NEXT this past Friday September 9.

Born and raised in Avon, NJ, he is predeceased in death by his parents and his son, Robert C Tilton, Jr.

Daddy was a lifeguard at the oceanfront and then was an MP in the army where he met the love of his life at Redstone Arsenal in Alabama. They wed in 1954. After the service, Daddy went on to work for Beneficial Finance Company until his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Janet M Tilton of Daytona Beach, FL; his daughter, Karen A DeVore and husband Zeth DeVore of Deland, FL, two nephews and their families, James B & Betty McWhorter and Richard A & Sue McWhorter; two grandchildren Robert "Dan" Bates of VA and Katie Bates of NC and three great-grandchildren, Romeo C Bates and Ryan C Bates of VA and Jackson W Jones of NC.

Jackson, just born in August, was to have met his great-grandpa later this month.

Per his wishes, Daddy will be cremated and there will be no service.
