Robert C. Soard, 76, passed away August 22, 2013.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 10:00 A.M at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond, 733 W. Granada Blvd, Ormond Beach, FL 32174, with interment to follow at 2:00 P.M at Jacksonville National Cemetery. Roberts's family will receive guests one hour prior to the time of service.

Robert served in the United States Army for five years and was involved during the Korean War. He was a deputy sheriff for the State of Ohio, was a law enforcement officer for the Ormond Beach Police Department. After 30 years of law enforcement, Robert retired from Tomoka State Correctional Facility. Robert loved to travel with his wife to states along the eastern seaboard and Canada to visit his family and grandchildren. Robert's hobbies included, collect knives from local flea markets, and he enjoyed watching the Little League World Series on television.

Robert will be remembered by his wife of 51 years, Louise Soard; sons, Robert (Lori) Soard, Steven (Leslie) Soard, Michael (Kim) Soard; sisters, Norma Spradlin, Sandra Armbruster, Beverly McCann, and grandchildren, Tiffany, Shannon, Jocelyn, Dillon, Alexis, Justin, Brittany, and Cory.
