Funeral services for Robert "Bob" Sherry 83 a resident of Ormond by the Sea FL who passed away Sunday February 18 2007 at Ormond Memorial Hospital Ormond Beach will be held Thursday March 1 2007 at 1 PM at Riverview United Methodist Church 2253 John Anderson Drive Ormond Beach with Dr. Kenneth Vickery officiating. Arrangements are with Lohman Funeral Home-Ormond 733 W. Granada Blvd Ormond Beach FL 32174. Surviving him is his loving wife of 49 years Kathlyn and Brother and Sister in Law George and Dorothy Wootten Brother in Law Maurice McKenzie Nephews George and Patti Wootten and John and Sandy Wootten a cousin Steven Donnellan and a very good friend Irene Doyle. Bob was born January 12 1924 in Chicago IL the Son of Robert and Annabelle Leathers Sherry. He married Kathlyn McKenzie June 1 1957. He served in the U.S. Navy during W.W. II Bob enjoyed golf tennis bridge Dancing with his wife and was an avid football fan especially of The Chicago Bears Northwestern and Notre Dame Universities. He and his wife attended most home Northwestern University football games for 25 years. He was Branch Manager for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Chicago for many years. The couple came to Florida in 1979. He is a member of Oceanside Golf and Country Club and The Halifax River Yacht Club. He loved his home family friends and all the wonderful times together.
