A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Robert S. Rothrock Jr. 81 of Port Orange will be held at 4 p.m. Monday August 13 2007 at the Port Orange Chapel of Lohman Funeral Homes. Robert beloved father and husband died on Wednesday August 8 2007 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born on June 3 1926 to the late Robert Rothrock Sr. and Clara E. Bannan in Altoona Pennsylvania. Robert honorably served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army. After his discharge Robert went on to earn his Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering from Penn State University and faithfully spent his entire career with I. E. DuPont de Nemours until retiring. Robert previously resided in Fanwood NJ and in Seminole FL and upon retirement permanently moved to Port Orange FL. Robert leaves to cherish his memory of their lives together his three children and their families; Sheryl R. Allegra her husband John and their two children Suzanne and Joseph Allegra of Glenmoore PA David A. Rothrock of Spring Hill FL and Jeffry Rothrock his wife Maureen and their daughter Lindsey Allen of New Smyrna Beach FL. Robert was preceded in death by his first wife Suzanne Evans of Blandburg PA and by his second wife Norma Rosemond of New Jersey. Final Interment will take place at Rosehill Cemetery in Altoona PA.
