Robert J. Richard, 87 of Palm Coast, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2014. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 19, at Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast, 220 Palm Coast Parkway SW.

Robert was born on September 23, 1927 in Glens Falls, NY to Delore and Myrrl Richard. He served his country proudly in the Navy for two years as a Petty Officer 3rd Class. He retired in 1987 from General Electric as a Project Administrator from Pittsfield, Massachusetts. He and his wife, Irene relocated to Palm Coast, Florida in December of 1988.

Robert enjoyed camping with his family. He loved riding his Honda Shadow along the coast. He won the Oldest Rider Award in 2004 in the Alligator Road Run. He also served in the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Robert will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His sense of humor kept his family laughing until the very end.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Irene Richard; his six children Robert (Sylvie) Richard of Litchfield, NH., Lee McCluskey and Jo (Kevin) Brazee of Pittsfield, MA., Danny (Dale) Richard, Gary (Patricia) Richard and Rich (Dee) Richard all of Palm Coast, FL.; 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by 1 granddaughter, Kelli.
