Robert V. (Bobby) Newton age 67 of Deland FL passed away in his home on Monday December 6 2010. Bobby was born in North Carolina the oldest of five children to Buddy and Violet Newton. He was a friendly Christian gentleman and proud member of Liberty Baptist Church who enjoyed long walks around the city occasional visits with family in the country and never passed up a "free lunch" with friends and family followed by a good smoke. His parents preceded him in death and he leaves behind four siblings: Thomas W. Newton also of Deland Carole E. Fothergill of Orange City Cynthia A. Jordan and her husband Wayne of Gaithersburg MD William D. Newton of Frederick MD long-time friend and landlord Henry Mills and several extended family and friends. A 1:00 pm visitation followed by a 2:00pm funeral service in his honor will be held Friday December 10 2010 at the Deland Chapel of the Lohman Funeral Home with Pastor Slade Rickles officiating.
