Robert L. Smith 78 of South Daytona died on Friday November 23 2007. Robert was born on August 30 1929 to the late Henry and Elizabeth Smith in Oregon IL. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and later served in the U.S. Air Force. Bob enjoyed woodworking and fishing and loved horseback riding; in the past he spent a lot of time calf roping. He was especially fond of his dog Shadow. Bob retired from the Forestry Preserve in Byron IL where he worked with his best friend Jack. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Faye; son Mike Smith; daughter Vickie Stafford 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
