Robert E. Kagle Sr. "Ernie" of Port Orange FL went to be with the Lord on October 2 2009 with his family at his side. He was born in Washington DC and lived in Maryland until 1977 when he and his wife Beverly to whom he was married 54 years relocated to Port Orange. He worked as a carpenter for most of his life and for 8 years prior to his retirement in 1998 he worked for the City of Daytona. Ernie was a member of the Chapel of Faith in Port Orange where he often attended Bible study groups. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son Ronald playing cards with his wife and watching NASCAR - his favorite drivers being Mark Martin and Carl Edwards. Ernie will best be remembered for his caring easygoing nature and for being a good provider. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Beverly; sons Robert (Chris) Kagle Jr. of Maryland Ronald (Deborah) Kagle of De Leon FL; daughters Linda (Frank) Wood and Darlene (Justin) Field of Maryland; brother Richard (Diane) Kagle Sr. of Maryland; sister Bonnie K. Moore of Port Orange and eight grandchildren. Services will be private.
