Robert (Bob) J. Heckel 90 died September 14 2012 in Ormond Beach Florida. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 am on Friday September 21 at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond.

Bob was born March 15 1922 in Budd Lake NJ. He served in the United States Air Force during WWII and returned to service to assist with the Berlin Wall crisis in Europe. After the war he received his bachelor's degree at The College of William and Mary in 1949 and later earned an MBA from Syracuse University.

Bob worked as a businessman for many years including positions with General Electric Boeing and the State of Pennsylvania. He directed the Small Business Development Center at Stetson University and enjoyed teaching small business and marketing to students at Stetson and Trenton State College. In addition Bob was proud to have been a three-time recipient of honors from the Freedoms Foundation of Valley Forge PA for his work and his essays on patriotism.

He is survived by his loving wife of five years Roberta Heckel four daughters five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
