Robert Wesley Fields 86 of Deland Florida died February 2 2009. A memorial service will be held on Saturday February 7 2009 at 2:00pm at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 170 W. Mercers Fernery Road Deland Florida. Robert was born in Brazil Indiana in 1922 and was raised in Arlington Virginia where he met his wife of 55 years Mattie Newton. In 1972 he his wife and their daughter moved to Deland where he worked for the city. Upon retirement he incorporated his love for music by tuning pianos in the Deland area. His biggest passion throughout his life was sharing his faith with others. He was a kind hearted man who was loved by children of all ages and he enjoyed being around them. He had a wonderful sense of humor and will be dearly missed by his family friends and all those who knew him. He is survived by his wife Mattie; daughter Georgia (Robert) White of Jacksonville Florida and their children Matthew and Emily.
