Robert Roy Faison 81 of Palm Coast FL passed away at Stuart F. Meyer Hospice on June 28 2011. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday July 5th at 11:00 am at Palm Coast United Methodist Church 5200 Belle Terre Pkwy. Palm Coast. Bob was a Special Agent with the US Secret Service he was one of the first three African Americans ever employed as a special agent assigned to the White House. Bob traveled to thirty countries with the President. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He rose to the rank of Warrant Officer and was the youngest 1st Sgt. in a combat infantry company. He earned his Bachelor's degree from N. Carolina A&T State University. Bob and his wife relocated to Palm Coast in 1999 from Silver Spring MD. He was a member of the Palm Coast United Methodist Church a fifty year member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity a member of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives The African American Cultural Society and the Association of Former Agents of the Secret Service the NAACP and the Eagles Golf Club. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 14 years Jacquelyn "Jackie" Faison Palm Coast son Robert "Rob" (Desirae) Faison Charlotte NC step-daughter Michelle Rayner Thompson and her husband Joseph Thompson Baltimore MD sister Hortense Mobley NY NY seven grandchildren and a great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his late wife Dorothy a son Gregory and two brothers Randolph and Hewitt "Pete" Faison.
