A private memorial service for Robert Franklin ?Frank? Donaldson age 82 of S. Nova Road Ormond Beach FL will be held June 3 2006 at the Brookside Cemetery in Watertown NY. Mr. Donaldson passed away on May 12 2006 in Ormond Beach. Born on April 5 1924 in Canton NY he graduated from Syracuse University Syracuse NY with a Bachelor?s Degree in Business. He served in the US Marine Corps as a Major retiring from active duty in 1953 then served in the Marine Corps Reserves until 1961. Mr. Donaldson was a Chrysler automobile dealer in NY and spent his years in Ormond Beach as a real estate salesman. He belonged to the American Legion the Elks and the Lions Club. He enjoyed boating and golfing. On October 9 1948 Mr. Donaldson married Jean Matuszczak also a Marine Corps veteran who predeceased him in 1982. They moved to Ormond Beach from Croghan NY in 1978. Mr. Donaldson is survived by a son Gary Donaldson of Watertown NY three daughters; Linda Bill Schrader of Carthage NY Cindy Samsa of Dolgeville NY Gayle Randy Reitz of Ormond Beach FL a sister Alberta Frank Shaw of Sauqoit NY 10 grandchildren 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
