Robert Allan Callander 81 of Port Orange Florida passed away on Saturday June 5 2010. A 12:00 gathering followed by a 1:00 PM service will be held Monday June 14 2010 at the Daytona Chapel of the Lohman Funeral Home. Interment will be at Daytona Memorial Park. He was born in Great Neck New York to Alexander and Marie Callander. His beloved wife of 40 years Hilda Callander preceded him in death. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his son and daughter-in-law Jeffrey and Dede Callander his daughter and son-in-law Lee Callander and Duane King two daughters by marriage: Carol Conforti and Barbara Cook ten grandchildren and two great-grandsons. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran having served in Korea. His first profession was in the banking industry; working in many capacities including vice president and president. Later he became interested in real estate and became an agent locally. He was known to all as an honest gentleman with integrity and a fine sense of humor. Robert enjoyed cooking travelling watching baseball games living near the ocean and most of all sailing. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Daytona.
