Lt. Col. Robert C. Butler AUS Retired 83 of Ormond Beach FL passed away on Tuesday August 14 2007 at the Emory L. Bennett Memorial Veterans Nursing Home. A native of Yorkville TN Mr. Butler moved to the area in 1988 from Nashville TN. He was a 25 year career man with the U.S. Army where during WWII he received the Bronze Star with two oak leaf clusters along with the Purple Heart. He was a life member of the MOAA the National Skeet Shooting Association and D.A.V. Post 84 in Daytona Beach. He also served as a nursing home inspector with the Tennessee Department of Public Health and was an avid golfer. Survivors include his wife of 45 years Barbara of Ormond Beach and a son Robert D. of Tennessee. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
