Robert Eugene Burke 78 of Deland Florida passed away September 2 2013. A memorial Service in his honor will be held Thursday September 5 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Kepler Road Baptist Church 251 N. Kepler Rd.

Robert was born November 28 1934 to the late Louie and Fern Burke in Delray Illinois. Robert was married to his loving wife Gloria in January of 1972. Robert lived for several years in Illinois and worked for AO Smith manufacturing and volunteered as a fire fighter and the police auxiliary the family moved to the Deland Florida area in February of 1976. Robert started Windy Lawn Mower Repair Shop in Daytona Beach and later Burke's Lawn Care in Deland. Robert was a Family man and a proud helping father. His hobbies included woodworking especially butterfly houses and back scratchers as gifts for his children.

Robert was preceded in death by his first wife Barbara and second wife Gloria . Robert is survived by 3 sons Dale (Cheryl) Dean (Debbie) Michael Kuipers. 2 Daughters Judy and Julie. 3 brothers 1 sister 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. In Lieu of flowers donations are asked to be made to the Kepler Road Baptist Church or Halifax Hospice.
