Robert L "Pappy" Boyce Funeral Mass for Robert Boyce 87 who died on December 25 2008 at the Emory Bennett VA Nursing Home in Daytona Beach will be 11:00 AM Monday December 29 2008 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 201 University Blvd. Daytona Beach with Rev. Fr. Phillip Egitto as celebrant. Entombment will follow at Daytona Memorial Park 1423 Bellevue Ave. Daytona Beach. Bob was born September 8 1921 in Bristol West Virginia and moved here in 1964 from Reed City Michigan. Mr. Boyce was a WWII veteran of the US Army and dedicated his talents as a switchman for Bell South until his retirement in 1983. He was a proud member of: Communication Workers of America Epiphany Catholic Church and St. Paul Catholic Church. He was a Lifetime member of Daytona Beach Elks Lodge 1141 the Disabled American Vets and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed fishing reading traveling to Sanibel Island with his wife and most of all spending time with his family. His beloved wife of 63 years; Bette (2004) and a son; Michael (1984) preceded him in death. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children: Betsy (Buzzy) Windle John (Nancy) Boyce Margie (Richard) Windle and Thom (Kris) Cottrill 8 grandchildren 6 great grandchildren and a lifelong friend Johnnie Cottrell.
