Bob Jackson, 82 of Daytona Beach, passed away with his family at his side after a long and courageous battle due to complications from diabetes on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at the Florida Hospital Hospice Care Center - Oceanside.

He was born September 7, 1927 to Warren F. and Kathryn N. Jackson in Lancaster Pennsylvania. United in marriage in 1949 to Nora E. Sherick the Jacksons had three daughters and were married 60 years. The Jacksons moved to Daytona Beach in 1957 and Robert retired from law enforcement in 1985. As avid bowlers both Robert and Nora bowled in several leagues and traveled to many tournaments. He attended church services at Trinity Lutheran Church in Holly Hill.

Robert is survived by his loving wife Nora; daughters Carol (Ron) Paino of Port Orange Florida Susan (Steve) Wittenberg of Hayesville North Carolina and Gayle (John) Akerman of Raleigh North Carolina; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and his brother Warren (Marge) Jackson of Lancaster Pennsylvania. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Marion Heller of Lancaster Pennsylvania. He will be noticeably missed as he never met a stranger in his daily travels.

A visitation will be held at 5:00 p.m. Friday January 15th 2010 at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond, 733 W. Granada Blvd., followed by a 5:30 p.m. funeral service. Condolences may be shared with the family through this online guestbook.
