Robert J. Dorsey (Bob) son of the late Helen and Frank Dorsey born June 7th 1937 in Providence, RI and passed peacefully at home on August 9th with his wife at his side. He graduated from Tufts University, Medford, MA in 1959 and held senior positions at Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. He finished his career wth Miniter Insurance Co. as Vice-President He was an avid golfer and played at Indian Ridge Country Club in Andover, MA where he had his first Hole In One. He had his 2nd Hole In One on the 9th Hole of Oceanside Country Club in Ormond Beach, where he had been a member for over 20 years. Bob enjoyed playing with the Happy Hackers and would tell anyone that his best achievements in life were his four children, of whom he was very proud. He will be sorely missed and leaves behind Barbara, his best friend and wife of 52 years, his children, Steven (wife, Michelle, daughters Emily, Megan), Mark (children Jack, Katelyn), Julie White (husband Russ), and Greg (wife Michelle, sons Connor, Dylan), cousin Natalie Pirzada (husband Dr. Farouk Pirzada and family), sister-in-law, Brenda Axelsen (and family), many long time friends, and Dr. Mikelle Streicher who helped guide us during this difficult time. Bob will long be remembered for his sharp wit and inexhaustible supply of one liners. "You can't shine a sneaker," "Keep your head down and follow through," and if greeted with , "It's good to see you," his response was always, "It's nice to be seen." He had a great love for Jazz. Bob and his family lived in North Andover. MA before retiring to Florida. In lieu of flowers. Bob's favorite charity is the Paralyzed Veterans of America (PWA). Visitation will be at Lohman's Funeral Home, 733 W Granada, Ormond Beach on Friday, August 11th between 3:00 and 5:00 pm with a Memorial Service at 4:00 pm.
