Rita Winterfeld 89 of Palm Coast Florida passed away on December 6 2012 at The Hospice of Volusia Flagler Orange City. Services will be held at a later date. All arrangements are under the direct supervision of the Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast 220 Palm Coast Pkwy SW Palm Coast. Rita was born in The Bronx NY and raised in Brooklyn where she attended and graduated from the New Utrecht High School. She met and married the love of her life Sam in 1946. Together they had two beautiful daughters. Rita spent her younger years as a devoted and loving mother and wife. She also enjoyed traveling with Sam. Rita will be remembered for her love of sewing knitting and painting. Rita enjoyed spending her time doing crafts and reading a good mystery novel. Rita lived in Margate Florida from 1974 to 2009. Then moved to Palm Coast 3years ago. Rita was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Bertha and her beloved husband of 56 years Sam. She is survived by her two daughters Shelly Jacob (Bernie) of Pleasantville NY and Ellin Einhorn (Stuart) of Palm Coast. Rita was also the loving grandmother to her six grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Contributions in Rita's name may be made to the Children's Home Society of Florida 1485 S.
