Rita Helen Carman, 93, of Cleveland, Ohio, loving mother, grandmother and sister died on April 28, 2015. Rita passed away at Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House of Palm Coast, Florida after suffering a stroke on April 20th. She was born on February 9, 1922 in Cleveland, Ohio to Margaret & Joseph Norwalk.

She is predeceased by her parents, by her husband Earl A. Carman, and sister Ruth C. Meyer. Rita is survived by her son Thomas J. Carman of Denver, CO and her daughter Joan H. Kovach of Palm Coast, Florida, and three grandchildren.K. Margaret Williams-Wheeler, Neil A. Carman & Stephanie M. Carman, and her brother George W. Cox, of Cleveland, Ohio.

Rita grew up in Cleveland, Ohio where she attended high school and later married Earl A. Carman in 1942. She was a meticulous homemaker for her family. Rita filled her life with family and friends.she never met a stranger When she wasn't with her family or friends, she was on the telephone talking with them!!!

Rita loved life completely and all the people & places it brought to her. At 93 her memory was sharp, engaging and conversational about most anything then or now. Mentally & physically she was an incredible ladyshe was strong, she was beautiful, she was resilient and she was fun!
We will all miss her dearly.

A "Celebration of Life" Mass will be said on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 11:00 am at Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church, 915 Central Avenue, Flagler Beach, Florida. Arrangements were under the care of Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast.
