Burkett Ricky H. "Rick " 53 passed away at home on Wednesday October 13 2010 in DeLand Florida after a short illness. Born in Mississippi and raised in north Florida Rick settled in Tampa in 1986 and lived there for 20 years with his wife and children.
He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years Bonnie; sons Brenton and Ryan of Orlando; mother Lurene "Shirley" Vaughn of Barstow California; father Harold (Bobbie) of Gaskin Florida; three brothers Jeff (Karen) of Valrico; Scott (Michelle) Woods of Stockton California; Christopher (Tanja) Vaughn also of Barstow; and two stepbrothers Jimmy (Reneta) Palmer of Westville Florida and Stephen (Barbara) Palmer of Grantville Georgia. He leaves behind many loving aunts uncles cousins nieces nephews friends and the extended families of the Burketts Harmons Palmers and Walpers.
He is predeceased by his paternal and maternal grandparents and his beloved stepdaughter Jennifer McLeod.
His favorite pastimes were spending time with family and friends and playing in his fantasy football league.
