Rickey Lee Shelhorse, Jr., 34, of Daytona Beach, Florida tragically left this world on August 9, 2022. He was born on July 10, 1988 in Virginia Beach, Virginia to Rickey Lee Shelhorse, Sr. and Shaina Briley. Rickey touched the hearts of everyone who crossed his path with his irresistible charisma, genuine kindness, and unwavering authenticity. His bright spirit instantly warmed every room he entered, drawing people to him. He was a beloved father, son, brother, nephew, uncle, and friend.

He leaves behind his children, Violet and Riley Shelhorse; his parents, Rickey Lee Shelhorse, Sr. and Shaina Briley; his sisters, Christina and Cassandra; his aunts and uncles, Courtney Shelhorse and Vicky Spinella, Jeffrey, Gary, Kevin, Shawn, and Chris Shelhorse; and an abundance of nieces and nephews.

Rickey was highly intelligent and always excelled in anything he wanted to do. He was a computer whiz, any issues his family had, he could always fix. He was an amazing artist as well. Rickey was a thrill seeker, always looking for the next adventure, from sky diving to skiing. He loved his family and friends fiercely, but his greatest accomplishment was becoming a father to Riley and Violet.

Rickey will be missed by so many, and he will never be forgotten. He was truly one of a kind.

Services will be held at Lohman Funeral Home (1681 Providence Blvd, Deltona, FL 32725) on Thursday August 18th, 2022. Visitation from 3 to 6 pm, Services from 6 to 6:30 pm and reception from 6:30 to 8 pm. Refreshments provided.
