Richard "Rick" Walke 76 of Ormond Beach FL passed away at Florida Hospital Daytona Beach on August 29 2011. Memorial services with military honors will be held on Friday September 9th at 2:00 pm at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond 733 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach. He was born in St. Petersburg FL to Sydney and Anne Walke on April 22 1935. Rick was the Director of Public Works St. Petersburg and Boynton Beach FL and was the Assistant Director of Public Works in Ormond Beach. He retired as a Master Chef Petty Officer from the US Navy serving during the Vietnam Era. During that time he served as a navy seal and a medical/dental corpsman. He was a semi-pro golfer an avid sports fan especially when it came to the Miami Dolphins college football and NASCAR. He is survived by his wife of 24 years Patricia Walke Ormond Beach two sons daughters Dorlynne (Michael) Maynor W. Palm Beach FL and Cindy (James) Eden Flagler Beach FL Tammy Williams Ocala FL and son Michael Williams Ohio a brother Robert "Bob" Walke Spring Hill FL and sister Lillian Wojcik St. Petersburg FL seven grandchildren Kelby Lauren Jarrod Jonathan Christopher Douglas Matthew and four great-grandchildren. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Ormond.
