Richard Samuel Vecchione, 69, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday, April 28, 2013. He was born in New York on February 29, 1944 to Samuel and Lorraine Vecchione. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Judith Vecchione; one son. Richard (Alice)Vecchione of Long Island; one daughter, Cindy Ann Patterson (Rusty) of Port Orange; three sisters, Michele (Lloyd), Helen (Vinny), and Kim (Ricky); one brother, Ray (Jean); six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; along with many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Richard was a member of the Italian-American Club, VFW, and the American Legion. He loved to bowl and play cards, but most of all he loved spending time with his wife and family. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. May 10 in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1014 N. Halifax Ave., Daytona Beach, Florida 32118. In lieu of flowers, Richard's wishes were that donations may be made to Halifax Health Hospice, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, Florida 32129.
