Richard Paul Sonderman age 76 of Port Orange left us on Friday August 19 2011.

Visitation will be held at Cardwell Funeral Home 3571 Ridgewood Ave Port Orange 32114 on Tuesday August 23 2011 from 5pm- until 7pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Wednesday August 24 2011 at Epiphany Catholic Church 201 Lafayette Street Port Orange with burial to follow at Woodland Cemetery.

Richard was born in St. Louis Missouri on November 2 1934 to the late Lesla and Linus Sonderman. Richard was a true patriot at heart and served his country in the United States Air Force and the Maryland Air National Guard. While he was in the service he met and married the love of his life the late Mrs. Patricia Sonderman. The two spent many happy years together. Richard was a very kind person who left a positive impression on everyone who knew him. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and he had a huge heart. He loved building model airplanes reading and spending time with his loving family. We are comforted by the knowledge that he was not afraid of death and his faith in God was always with him he will be truly missed and always in our hearts.

Richard leaves behind to cherish his memory his children Michael Paul Sonderman Cynthia Ann Tucker and husband Charles Tucker Joseph Linus Sonderman siblings Thomas Sonderman Elaine Volmert Steven Sonderman Lois Newton Phillip Sonderman and he also leaves behind his grandchildren Troy and Kimberly Evors many extended family members and close friends.
