Richard F. Coletti, Jr, known as Rick, Rich, Cookie and countless other loved nicknames, passed away peacefully on October 30th. He is survived by his mother, Melinda Coletti, sister, Christie Coletti Rossi, and niece and nephew, Siena and Matteo Rossi. He was predeceased by his father, Richard F. Coletti, Sr, in 2008. Rick was a graduate of The Morgan School, in Clinton, CT and University of South Florida, in Tampa. He was formerly employed as Operations Manager for MacroTransport, in Daytona Beach, Florida. He was the awesome son, brother, uncle, cousin and best friend to so many new and forever loved friends. He had a knack for always making people feel comfortable, even when he was most uncomfortable. A consummate upbeat personality, Rick cheered hard for his teams (we all know who they are) and fell hard in the most challenging way possible. He lived half of his life without any real struggle and then spent the last 25 years in more emotional pressure than any of us have ever had to contemplate in our lives. We can learn how to be positive, prioritize what's important and live life with kindness and acceptance...all from our greatest gift for the last 50 years. We love you, Rick!
A celebration of his life will be held at the Clinton Country Club in CT on November 17th. In lieu of flowers, please support www.themiamiproject.org
Arrangements entrusted to Lohman Funeral Home Ormond. Condolences and memories are welcome to be shared with Rick's family via this online guestbook.
