Richard J. Parthemore, Sr. (Vava) born on December 5th, 1941 passed away on Jan 29, 2024
He is survived by Pam (Scofield), wife of 58 years; his son Richard J. Jr. (Danielle) and their two sons, Richard J. III and Jack; his daughter Cheryl (Timothy) Fleming and their children, Ashley (Douglas) Thacker and Michael (Britany) Fleming. Vava is also survived by great grandchildren, Corbin Quinn Fleming and Perry Lynne Thacker.
Among his surviving siblings are sisters Barbara Elaine (Bob) Craft, Janet (Chris) Fritz, and brother Jeff (Barbara) Parthemore. He is predeceased by parents James H.Sr. and Sarah Barbara (Plain) and older brother James H. Jr. He is also survived by his sister in law Chris (Mike) Moynihan and many nieces and nephews.
Rich was born and raised in Ossining, New York where he was a Police Officer in the Village of Ossining and retired as a Sergeant from the Town of Ossining after which relocated to Palm Coast and lastly to Port Orange Florida . He was a life member of the Ossining Volunteer Fire Department's Washington Hook and Ladder Co. where he contributed significantly to the community. He also served in the Army National Guard, 101st. Signal Battalion.
Rich loved to march in the fire department's parades and attend their conventions, where he left a lasting impression. He always loved a good party, traveling the world, and riding his bike. He will be remembered for his fast double-talking skills and his calm and cool demeanor on the golf course.
Above all, his family and church held the utmost importance in his heart.
He'll be missed by everyone, especially Spotagucci Monatula & Doidren Spillthrifter.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Halifax Hospice, Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, or Alzheimers Association would be greatly appreciated.
