Richard W. Opacki, known affectionately as Richie, passed away on July 5, 2024, in Daytona Beach, FL. Born on November 26, 1942, in Boston, MA, Richie's life was marked by his joyful and caring spirit.

Richie attended Melrose High School class of 1962 and later became the co-owner of Middlesex Cleaning, Inc., where he was well-respected for his dedication and work ethic. Outside of work, Richie found joy in golfing and skiing, activities that reflected his love for life and adventure.

Richie was the beloved father of Robyn Opacki-Hunter and Robert Opacki, and stepfather to Jeannie O'Connor. He was a cherished brother to Donna, Dorothy, and Stevie, and a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Charles and Jamie, and great-granddaughter, Alysha.

He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara, brother Paul, sister Barbara, and his parents, Sophie and Dominic, as well as his ex-wife, Faye Hopper.

Richie will be remembered as a happy, carefree, and kind soul who brought laughter and kindness into the lives of those around him.
