McQuade, Richard P. passed away suddenly on June 19, 2016. He was born on July 20, 1957, son of James and Johanna McQuade.
He is survived by the greatest joy in his life, his son Jared.
Before retiring in Ormond Beach, Fla., he was a proud police officer from the Glen Cove Police Department in Long Island. He was a graduate of Glen Cove High School in 1975, and attended Long Island University where he earned a Master of Science in Accounting in 1989. He also held a C.P.A. license besides being a self-taught computer software expert.
Richard's passions were photography, movies, reading and his beloved pets. He was an avid New York Mets fan. Moreover, he loved to remember his fond memories of growing up in Glen Cove surrounded by his family and friends.
Although he left us way too soon, Richard has given us a lifetime of wonderful memories to help ease the pain. It has been wonderful to have known such a beautiful soul. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
