Lohmann
Jan 14, 1931 — Aug 8, 2021
Ormond Beach
First Lieutenant Richard F. Lohmann, USA, Retired, longtime resident of Volusia County, passed away at the age of 90.
A graveside service will be held in his honor on September 11, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of the Hold Child, 1225 W. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach.
Richard is remembered for his decades of service in the United States Army (Korean War) and his decades of service at The Church of the Holy Child. His interests and outreach were rooted in his Holy Child family as well as his community. As a resident of Volusia County Richard aided in many efforts to protect our beaches and our water quality. He visited our jails and prisons mentoring and bringing Christ's love to the lonely (KAIROS Prison Ministry). And well into his 80's, he strived to bring awareness and support to 'Grandparents raising Grandkids'. Richard's life was committed to the service.
A devoted husband, supportive father and an awesome Pop-Pop/greatPop-Pop, Richard is survived by his two sons Blair S. Lohmann (Cindy), Gary R. Lohmann (Kim) and his daughter Jacquelin Kane (Kevin), his five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Richard – always blooming where he is planted – De Colores
