Richard E. Hummer, 86, of Deltona, Florida went to be with his Heavenly Father on December 29, 2022 at home, surrounded by family. He was born on April 4, 1936 to Cecile and Garrett Hummer in Titusville, Pennsylvania. Richard worked as a supervisor and retired from PA Department of Transportation. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, refinishing wood and was active in the church. Dick is survived by his brother and sisters; Donn and Margarette Stanley, Evelyn and Fritz Gillespie, and Glenn and Eileen Hummer and their children; Dale and Donna Hummer, Laura Dempsey, Dr. Robert and Kathy Crisman, Douglas and Debbie Hummer, and Mark Szitas. His grandchildren include Danielle and Christopher Monroe, Samantha and Michael Martinez, Scott and Megan Hummer, Rachel Corliss and Buddy Johns, Meghan and Keith Heidel, Logan Dempsey and Miah Ewing, Torry and Josh Fulbright, Matthew Crisman, Chuck Szitas, Jeremy Szitas, and tweleve great-grandchildren. Dick was preceded in death by his mother and father, Cecile and Garrett Hummer, his wife, Virginia Hummer, his stepdaughter, Deborah Szitas, and his sister Ellen Rardins.
