On March 24th 2012 The Rev. Richard Hoover peacefully went to be with the Lord. On March 27th 2012 Grace Hoover his beloved wife joined him in paradise. After recent health issues they were placed into Hospice care together at the Alliance Community Center for Healthcare in Deland FL.
For almost 64 years this remarkable couple faithfully served the Lord and one other. Passing away together is not an end to their extraordinary love story but rather an amazing new chapter in their eternal life together in the presence of their Lord and Savior.
The Hoovers are predeceased by their son Michael Hoover sister Margaret Bridge and brother Jim Williams.
The Hoovers are survived by their children Sandra Syford Port Orange FL.; Linda (Gene) Strickland Jacksonville FL.; Joy (Dave) Fatula Orlando FL.; Tim (Teena) Hoover Maumelle AR.; daughter-in-law Lorette Hoover Jessup GA.; sisters Doris (Clyde) Richey Toccoa Falls GA.; Evelyn Bozeman Sylacauga AL.; and sister-in-law Cindy Williams Wauchula FL.
They are also survived by ten grandchildren eight great-grandchildren and many nieces nephews and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday March 31st 2012 at the Daytona Beach Alliance Church 1250 Beville Road Daytona Beach FL.
