Richard "Dick" Eberts passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, October 9, 2013. Richard was born on August 27, 1924 in Rochester, New York, where he lived before settling in Port Orange, Fla. with his wife Marian.

Richard proudly served as a U.S. Navy Radioman on the USS John Hood during WWII and leaves behind many friends in Fairport, N.Y. and Port Orange, Fla.

Richard was preceded in death by his wife Marian. Survivors include his sister Linda Beckwith, children John (Elisabeth), Tracey (Roger), Tom (Heather), grandchildren Alex and Max, and his companion Annette Adams.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be sent to the Halifax Humane Society, 2364 W. LPGA Blvd., Daytona Beach, FL 32124.
