A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Richard M. Dylewski who passed away suddenly on February 1 2008 in Key Colony Beach FL at 11:00am Thursday February 7 2008 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church 600 S. Nova Rd. Ormond Beach FL. The family will receive friends on Wednesday February 6 from 5:00 to 8:00pm at Lohman Funeral Home-Ormond 733 W. Granada Blvd. Richard was born on September 15 1939 in Hartford CT to Gladys and Theodore Dylewski. He was an engineer. He married Marion Okon in 1961 and together they had five children: John Dona David Mark and Daniel. Richard worked in the 1960's for Belfab Corporation in Connecticut and later started Metal Fab and Dynaseal Corporations in Ormond Beach FL. For over two decades he and his partner built one of the largest manufactures of bellows and seals devices in the world. After semi-retiring in 1982 Richard was involved in condominium development in Central Florida and then became co-owner in a large durable medical equipment company. Richard was an innovator with ideas that became products worldwide and solved common day dilemmas utilizing his knowledge of physics and engineering. He was involved in the Daytona Beach Swim Association and Indian Guides in his children's youth. Richard was as avid sportsman of the sea enjoying boating scuba diving and most of all deep sea fishing. Recently he enjoyed the times with his grandchildren: Shane Jacqueline Dylan Cole Matthew and Nicholas and using his culinary talents to prepare some of the tastiest foods including salsa smoked meats & fish and the best coffee-dipping biscotti. Richard is survived by his wife his father five children two siblings and six grandchildren who together with their families will miss him greatly. His life was filled with riches but he preached to his family and friends that "less is more" when it comes to living life to its fullest.
