Richard (Ricky) Duane Walker, 72, of Daytona Beach passed away August 18, 2023 surrounded by family and friends after a brief illness at Halifax Hospital.

Ricky leaves behind his devoted wife Denise, and their three sons, Ryan Walker (Meagan), Kevin McCormick (Courtnie) and Kyle McCormick. He will be sadly missed by his sister Sue Teague (Chris), brothers Roger Walker and Tony Walker and was adored by his eight loving grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Lonnie and Agnes Walker, his sister Myrtice Heath (Harold) and brother Larry Walker (Charlotte).

Ricky was born in Winter Haven, Florida and moved with his family to Vero Beach in1962. He graduated from Vero Beach High School in 1968 and enjoyed playing baseball and surfing. He was a Vietnam Veteran and subsequently moved to Daytona Beach after meeting Denise in 1985. They married in 1988 and remained devoted to each other for 35 years.

Ricky was an avid sports fan and particularly enjoyed coaching his sons in South Daytona Little League Baseball and playing golf with his numerous friends throughout the Daytona Beach area. He was a dedicated salesman throughout his career.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on September 22, 2023 at Lohman Funeral Home Chapel, Port Orange, Florida. A Celebration of Ricky's Life will be held on September 23, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the home his brother Roger Walker, 2035 55th Avenue, Vero Beach, Florida.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
