Richard (Rich) Carbrello, 64, of Palm Coast, Florida passed away June 15, 2013, at Shands Hospital Jacksonville, Florida. All services and interment were held in Millbury, Massachusetts. All arrangements are under the direct supervision of Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast.
Rich was born in Worcester, Massachusetts. He graduated from Millbury High School in Millbury, Massachusetts. Rich moved to White River Junction, Vermont where he raised his children and was co-owner of the Gondola Deli and Sub Shop. He served as Chair of the Board of Selectmen for six of the nine years that he was a member, and was also a proud member of the Woodstock Country Club Men's League.
In 2001, Rich married Cynthia (Martin) Carbrello and they relocated to Palm Coast, Florida. Here, he worked in retail sales in Duval, Volusia and Flagler counties. Rich was a golf enthusiast. He enjoyed volunteering for area golf tournaments at TPC Sawgrass and Ocean Hammock for many years. Rich loved spending time with his family, cooking, grilling, and relaxing at the beach. He was a loving person who will be missed by all who knew him.
Rich was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his beloved wife of 12 years Cyndi Carbrello of Palm Coast; son Tony Carbrello (Tina) of Massachusetts; daughter Katie Carbrello Robinson (Christopher) of Virginia; son by marriage Stephen Gunn (Missy) of New Hampshire; daughter by marriage Frances Gunn (Adam) of Washington. Rich was also the loving grandfather to his six grandchildren Hannah, Emily, Cailey, Kolton, Thatcher, and Lincoln. He will also be missed by his cousins Lynne and Wayne; and a host of other family and friends.
