November 16, 1931 – March 26, 2024
Richard (Casey) Bell, 92, of South Daytona passed away on March 26th, 2024 of a short illness, at Halifax Hospice in Ormond Beach, Florida. Richard is originally from Evansville, Indiana, and resided all over the world, settling in South Daytona, Florida to retire.
He was preceded in death by his Wife, Patricia (Hill) Bell, his Son, Mark Bell and his Daughter, Cathy Bell all out of South Daytona, Florida and his Brother, Clifford Bell, out of Indiana.
He is survived by his Grandson, Casey Bell and his Granddaughter-in-law, Deanna Paspalakis of
Ormond Beach. Son-in-law, Scotty Click of South Daytona. His sisters, Sylvia Bell of Tennessee
and Nancy Patrow of Indiana. His Brother/Sister-in-laws, Steve and Kathy Hill, and Cindy Motes.
And Family Friend, Renee Harmon, Mother to Casey.
After graduating high school Richard served in the United States Air Force for 28 years.
Following that he was an Owner/Operator of a semi truck along with his Daughter, Cathy.
Richard Loved to ride his motorcycle with his Wife, Patricia as they would ride down from Indiana
to Daytona Beach for bike week every year. He also was an avid Ham Radio Operator and had
made numerous connections/friendships all over the world. After retiring he found a true love for
photography and could be found at Spruce Creek High School Baseball games taking pictures.
If he was not out taking photos he was at home taking care of his home garden.
Even at the end of his life, Richard always found time to share a story with family and friends.
He will be remembered not only for his great stories, but for his photography, and gardening
which he shared with many. He will be missed dearly.
A Graveside Service celebrating Richard's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday April 2, 2024 in Daytona Memorial Park,
1425 Bellevue Avenue, Daytona Beach, Florida 32114.
