A memorial service for Mr. Richard J. Alpert, Sr., 79, of Port Orange, FL, will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Lohman's Daytona Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Mark Spivey officiating. Born September 14, 1946, in Ossining, New York, Richard proudly served as a U.S. Army Veteran, was a dedicated member of the VFW, a volunteer firefighter, and participated in many car club organizations.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Noreen Alpert, and son, Richard J. Alpert, Jr. He is survived by his daughter, Kristin M. Moraitis, and son-in-law, William S. Moraitis; his son, Eric Alpert, and daughter-in-law, Donnita Alpert. Cherished grandfather to Jesslyn "Jessie" Moraitis, Vanessa Renicker, Nicholas Alpert, Natalie Alpert, Brennen Alpert, and great-grandfather to Ryan Richard Renicker.
