Renee Ross Moran went to be with the Lord suddenly on May 20, 2018, at the young age of 36. Renee was born in Minoqua, Wisconsin on November 23, 1981, and moved to Florida in 1991. She attended local schools and graduated with honors from Spruce Creek High, Class of 2000. She was a cross-country runner, a record-holding weightlifter, and served as a lifeguard on Daytona Beach. Renee earned her Bachelor's Degree from UCF and completed her Master's Degree in software engineering at Regis University. She was employed with the City of Deland, Costa, and most recently Stetson University. Renee was a beautiful, intelligent, and ambitious woman who always thought of others before herself, and looked at her children as the greatest gift of her life. She will be remembered as a wonderful mother, daughter, sister and friend and will be missed by many. Renee was a free spirit and would want to be remembered as a burst of light that will continue to glow in all the hearts she touched. Renee will forever be remembered by her children, Dylan Ross Maliska and Jade Moran, and lovingly remembered by her parents Steve and Rhonda Ross, her sister Angela Flanagan, brother Timothy Ross, her grandmother Mavis Morrison and Sean Moran to whom Renee was married for five years. A Celebration of Life will be held for Renee on Friday, June 1st at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona at 2pm. Calling hours will be from 1pm until time of service. In Lieu of flowers, donations to a beneficiary trust account for Renee's children, set up at Main Street Community Bank in Holly Hill or Deland, would be appreciated.
