Reginald M. Evelyn, of Port Orange passed away on Sunday Oct 19th, 2014. His transition was peaceful with his family by his side. He was 84 yrs. old.

He was born on Feb 22, 1930, in Newark, NJ. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and was trained with the esteemed,
555th Parachute infantry. In September of 1957 he was appointed to Newark Fire dept. He achieved his associates degree in fire science 1974 and went on to develop a fire safety program for the hearing impaired a few years later.
He retired from the fire dept. in 1983 with the stellar rank of captain.

He moved to sunny Florida in 1992, where he enjoyed travel ( amazing trip to Paris ) bowling, swimming and most of all relaxing.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Cleeland and Iris. His three brothers, Carl, Eddie and Clifford. and two sisters, Irene and Virgene. His is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mildred and two sons, Steven and Kevin.
A daughter-in-law, Janice, grand daughters, NaDieya, DaNnesia and DanElle and two grandsons, Danny and Dannius Reginald M. Evelyn, of Port Orange passed away on Sunday Oct 19th, 2014. His transition was peaceful with his family by his side. He was 84 yrs. old.
