Obituary

It is with great sadness that we share the loss of our beloved Rebecca Schneider 19 of Port Orange who passed away as the result of an automobile accident on August 27 2012. A Funeral Mass in her honor will be held Friday August 31 2012 at 8:30 A.M at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church; 4675 S Clyde Morris Blvd. Interment will follow at Edgewater New Smyrna Cemetery. Family and friends may gather at the Cardwell Funeral Home 3571 S. Ridgewood Ave Port Orange FL on Thursday August 30 2012 from 5:00 P.M until 8:00 P.M. Rebecca was so loved by her family and we all cherish the short time God gave her to us on earth. Rebecca loved the beach surfing basketball shopping time with her family and friends her cat Swiper and her dog Nahla Shetty as well as her Uncle Artie's farm animals. Rebecca was best friends with her cousin Jaycob and she and her brother Bobby had a very special relationship. They "hung out" together and understood one another and he affectionately called her "Tiny". Upon receiving her diploma Rebecca was enrolled to attend Daytona State College this fall and wanted to pursue a career in social services. Rebecca is survived by her mother Lisa Schmidt (Michael) of Port Orange her father Matthew Schneider her brother Bobby Schneider sister Shannon Schneider of New Smyrna Beach brother Zachary Santorelli (Meghan)of St. Augustine Aunt Kimberly Mansfield (Brad Murphy) Aunt Amy Johnson (Jay) Uncle Artie Mansfield (Carolynne) Aunt Mary Schneider (Rusty) Aunt Patricia Schneider (Dave) grandmother Rebecca Buchanan of Port Orange Grandmother Esther Schneider of Edgewater Cousins Jaycob Johnson Max Johnson Brayden Murphy Daniel Johnson Janise Johnson Angela Golden (Ted) Shaina Canzanella (James) Darren West and Adam Llewellyn. Nieces and nephews Bree Baker C.J. Baker Cayden Baker Amiah Isaac of New Smyrna Beach Issabelle Chandler and Austin Santorelli of St. Augustine. Rebecca is preceded in death by her grandfather John Mansfield of Port Orange and her grandfather Frank Schneider of New Smyrna Beach.
