Obituary

Raymond E. Wilson went home to be with our Lord on September 13, 2015, at the age of 95 after a life well-lived. He was born on March 20, 1920, in Jabez, Kentucky.
Raymond served his country during WWII as a member of the U.S. Army after which he began his career with General Electric in Evendale, Ohio. After retirement, he and his wife moved to Port Orange, Florida in 1986 to be closer to their family.
He loved the Lord and spreading the Good News, his family, singing Gospel songs, laughing, reading his Bible, playing golf, travel, flea markets, Coca-Cola, taking walks, cars, and his fellow man. He loved going to church, and was a long time member of White Chapel Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his wife, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by daughters Sharon Stradtman and Janet (Randy) English, his sister Sylvia Johnson, 3 granddaughters, 10 great grandchildren, several loving nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Services will be held Saturday, September 19th at 1 p.m. at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona with a visitation beginning one hour prior. Interment will take place at Daytona Memorial Park immediately following services.
